Bangkok Art & Culture Centre

Welcome to the grand opening of the Retrospective, Experimental Video Art Exhibition, a collaboration celebrating Thai-European Friendship. May 4 - May 28 2023 Bangkok Art & Culture Centre.

We gather to witness the convergence of diverse artistic perspectives and the celebration of cultural exchange between Thailand and European Countries. As we step into this immersive journey, let us take a moment to appreciate the creative minds behind these thought-provoking masterpieces. We are honored to have brought together some of the most innovative and visionary Thai and European artists, who have shared their stories, experiences, and emotions through the powerful medium of experimental video art.

This exhibition highlights the potential of video art to challenge the boundaries of traditional artistic expression. By combining various elements such as sound, movement, and imagery, the featured works provide a platform for artists to explore, question, and reimagine the world around us. The Thai-European Friendship represents a long-standing partnership built on mutual respect, understanding, and the shared desire to learn from each other’s rich heritage and history. This exhibition serves not only as a testament to our strong bond, but also as an opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity that enriches and elevates the global art community. On behalf of the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at KMITL, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the supporters, sponsors, and collaborators who made this event possible. Your dedication to the promotion of art, cultural exchange, and friendship has made a profound impact, and we are grateful for your unwavering support. Lastly, I invite you to immerse yourself in the wonders of this unique exhibition, allowing the experimental video art to inspire you, move you, and perhaps even change your perspective. Thank you for joining us in this celebration of Thai- European Friendship, and may this event further strengthen the ties that unite us.

With warm regards from Bangkok. Assistant Professor Dr.Antika Sawadsri Faculty Dean, School of Architecture Art and Design, KMITL
