Rote Drecksau/Red Bastard
Neon, copy of spray paint on residential building
100 × 30 cm. Edition of 3
Mobile Counseling against Right-wing Extremism in Berlin (MBR) has registered 13 cars torched by right-wing extremists between 2016-2020 in Neukölln, one arson attack on a left-wing cafe and one arson in a residential car park, 15 stumbling blocks torn from the asphalt commemorating Jews deported by the Nazis, and several graffiti threats on residential buildings. The first and last names of those involved are sprayed on the walls of the houses in which they live, usually followed by the words "Rote Drecksau". The message is clear: We know where you live.
